How The Manor Hotel Improved Wedding Sales With a Custom Wedding App

When The Manor Hotel introduced a custom wedding app, the goal was simple: improve communication with couples and create a more modern sales experience.

Wedding Planner Sarah Mitchell explains that couples often left venue showarounds excited, but overwhelmed with brochures, pricing sheets and scattered information.

“You do the showaround, the couple loves the venue, but afterwards they are trying to remember details from multiple hotels,” Sarah says. “We wanted them to leave with everything instantly accessible on their phone.”

The hotel introduced a fully branded wedding app that couples could download immediately during the venue visit using a simple QR code provided by the wedding planner.

A Sales Tool Couples Actually Use

After the showaround, couples leave with:

  • Wedding package information
  • Venue galleries
  • Food and drinks options
  • Accommodation details
  • Supplier recommendations
  • Upgrade options
  • Contact details
  • Planning information

All directly available on their phone.

“The app became an extension of the showaround itself,” says Sales Manager Daniel Harper. “Instead of handing over large printed packs, couples could instantly access everything digitally.”

Better Communication Between Hotel, Planner and Couple

The app was never designed to replace WhatsApp, phone calls or normal communication methods.

Instead, it became a central branded information hub that supported conversations between the hotel, wedding planner and couple.

“Couples still contact us the way they prefer,” Sarah explains. “But now they always have the important information available instantly without searching through paperwork.”

Increased Interest in Higher-Margin Upgrades

The hotel also noticed that couples engaged more with optional extras and premium upgrades when they were presented visually inside the app.

This included:

  • Premium décor packages
  • Evening food options
  • Drinks upgrades
  • Guest accommodation
  • Late-night additions

“When couples can easily browse options again after the visit, they spend more time engaging with the venue,” Daniel says.

Significant Savings on Printed Materials

One of the biggest operational benefits was the reduction in printed brochures and wedding packs.

The hotel significantly reduced costs related to:

  • Wedding brochures
  • Reprinted package sheets
  • Promotional materials
  • Information folders

Updates could now be made instantly inside the app without reprinting large quantities of materials.

Creating a More Modern Wedding Experience

For the hotel, the app ultimately became more than a planning tool.

“It helped us present ourselves as a modern venue,” says Sarah. “Couples now expect convenience and digital access. The app keeps the excitement of the showaround going long after they leave.”
